About Me I started making jewelry about 15 years ago when a favorite beaded necklace broke and I went to a craft store to find parts
to repair it. I was fascinated by all the pretty beads and started buying beads and stringing them. That lead to a class in
which I learned wire wrapping. Then I took classes in which I learned to fuse dichroic glass and solder. I was intrigued by
precious metal clay and in 2006 received PMC certification through Rio Grande as a precious metal clay artisan. Silver Precious
Metal Clay when fired in a kiln or with a torch produces 99.9% pure silver jewelry. Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5%
copper. I have taught PMC classes. Please visit my "green jewelry" page. These pieces are made from recycled silver
and glass. For more information on my jewelry. Please contact me at: joanrhodes@comcast.net
